One of the best ways to being discerning God’s personal love for you is to meditate on Jesus’ parables. Start with his three parables in Luke 15. They show us that God is deeply interested in each one of us, even when we have messed up.

― Trevor Hudson

Q: What is Your Picture of God?

In Part 1 of my conversation with Trevor, he mentions how our picture of God shapes our relationship with God.

I’ve thought so much about this.

Trevor writes, “We will only choose to align our hearts with God’s when we know in our innermost being that God deeply loves us. Many of us do not believe this. We feel that God is against us, or not interested in us, or angry with us. When we carry this negative picture of God around with us, we will probably relate to God in a formal way rather than in the way of an intimate, personal friendship.”

He asks, “What do you honestly believe God feels toward you?”
