"Love without truth lies.
Truth without love kills."
-Chris Rice, "From Pandemic to Renewal"

What might happen in our world and the bigger world if we, as followers of the Jesus Way, release His power in our lives?

As you know, I've been on a journey to learn more about the depths of God's love towards me.

Real love.

Unconditional love.

Love without constraint.

An immeasurable, God-sized love as described in Psalms 103

Chris Rice, Director of the United Nations Office of the Mennonite Central Committee and author of "From Pandemic to Renewal: Practices for a World Shaken by Crisis," leads us in a remarkable conversation about life post-pandemic. In Part 1 we talk through difficult topics:

  • Mental exhaustion
  • Economic disparities
  • Escalating Divisions

Today's podcast prompt is to reflect on Chris's piercing words:

"Love without truth lies. Truth without love kills."

"We are called to extravagant action
but that must be grounded in extravagant devotion."
-Chris Rice, From Pandemic to Renewal

Welcome to Part 2 of my riveting conversation with Chris Rice, author of From Pandemic to Renewal: Practices for a World Shaken by Crisis." We are in a world on fire. How do we handle living in the Pandemic Era? Today, Chris leads us to practices that help us navigate our way in this new terrain. He shares his own personal journey and how the pandemic became a ground of renewal for him. Two major themes emerged from our time together:

  1. Embracing our "belovedness."
  2. Finding rest for our restless hearts.

Chris urges us to "get the love of God into our bones." That is the key to personal and corporate renewal. Listen in and join the ongoing conversation over on my Instagram, @janellrardon.
